Second Trash Questions

3.)  I think Olivia's perspective about money makes sense. Everything she said is true. It is not positive, but its true. It makes sense considering what she has recently experienced. I think her time in Behala has changed her life drastically. Now she has a different perspective about money and that may effect what she does with it. She has helped people out that really needed it, which may change the way she interacts with people.

4.) The fourth newspaper, The University Voice, is the most liberal. It says "he's spent more than three decades lining his pockets, and his main achievement is that he's made the country's poor feel worthless and powerless" (189). The people who wrote it very against him and were trying to expose him as a fraud. The most conservative paper was the Star Extra, saying he "... is no stranger to controversy and has been constantly dogged by accusations and scandal" (186). It was saying he had trouble with the law but it did not make him sound guilty.

5.) Day of the Dead at the cemetery is very hectic. There are lots of people and families so it is very noisy and crowded. It is very light in the dark because there are so many candles, and there are many flowers so that is the primary smell. I think the author would end with this scene because the book is currently at its climax, and it makes sense to have things very hectic before the plot wraps up and it all slows down to end peacefully.
